Who We Are

Mira Networks is one of Africa's most exciting technology companies, and recognised as a leading provider of connectivity and billing tools between business and mobile networks - a business service described as aggregation.

We began with the development of an infrastructure cluster called SlingShot©.

SlingShot© provides a single-point interface for the entire relationship between companies and their mobile data services, encompassing traffic management, access, integration, billing administration and reporting.

Having built this robust mobile aggregation layer over five years and successfully provisioned low-level connectivity services to some of South Africa's largest institutions, Mira embarked on the next phase of its strategic plan in late 2004.

With a view to creating real business opportunities for others looking to enter or increase exposure to the mobile sector, our development team set about building a product layer on top of SlingShot©.

The goal was to provide plug-and-play tools for businesses, service providers and web/mobile content operators to rapidly deploy solutions through Mira's leading technology platform with minimal in-house technical capacity.

Our SMS Suite - the core of the product portfolio - was officially launched in January 2006 after a six-month pilot with selected clients and partners. Mira believes strongly in partnerships, and much of our business operates on a range of partnership models. This is best seen through our white-label programme and relationships with South Africa's web-developer community.

We provide platform and message bearer services (SMS, USSD and OBS and MT Billing) to key players within the mobile technology sector including international and local application service providers, web and mobile content developers, third party integrators and even a few competitors.
